Last month the team at Asmec were thrilled to welcome a very special guest to their serviced office business centre in Theale. On Thursday 8th March The Duke of Kent attended a ceremony to mark the opening of the new office of IT security company SecurEnvoy, which has chosen to base its global headquarters at the business centre.

SecurEnvoy enjoyed global acclaim last year after being awarded the Queen’s Award for Excellence for Innovation. The company invented the tokenless two factor authentication system, winning business with organisations across the world by providing a unique solution to solve practical security problems.

Facing a rapid expansion, SecurEnvoy currently supports a partner workforce of over 1000 staff. The company anticipates that its customer base will grow by half during 2012. Serviced offices will allow SecurEnvoy the flexibility to expand within the same premises and one of the main reasons behind the move to Asmec’s hi-tech business centre.

SecurEnvoy co-founder, Steve Watts, commented: “We are delighted to have moved to Merlin House in Theale which is managed by Asmec Centres Ltd, their flexible office space works perfectly for our organisation.  It is an impressive technically advanced building that is perfect for entertaining corporate clients both from the UK and overseas.”

Unveiling a plaque to mark the occasion, The Duke of Kent officially opened the new SecurEnvoy office at 2.50pm during the afternoon ceremony.

Situated on Brunel Road, Asmec’s serviced offices in Theale sit adjacent to junction 12 of the M4, offering a superb location for transport links across the Thames Valley and into London. One of Europe’s most hi-tech business centres, offices offer a vibrant working environment with a full range of onsite business services available including everything from manned reception to conferencing facilities.
