Leading serviced office operator Avanta has been showing its support of local education after offering free use of one of its West End business centres for a government educational scheme.

24 girls from Charter School were welcomed into Avanta’s serviced office building on Charlotte Street to take part in a Government initiative.  Named the Department for Education and Skills (DfES) Coaching for Success programme, the girls were shown how to improve their motivation and success at school during the two day event.  The girls received advice on how to develop self-confidence and social skills, and build better relationships with adults.

Pupils and teachers enjoyed free use of Charlotte Street’s professional Meeting and Training Rooms over the two days and were even given free lunches!

Simon Williams, Assistant head teacher at the school and Director of Learning at Key Stage 4, said: “We are extremely grateful to Avanta for their generous support in providing the office space in Charlotte Street, West End for this two day course. We’re delighted to have such a fantastic environment in which to deliver this important programme.”

David Alberto, Chief Executive of Avanta, said: “We are delighted to support this worthwhile initiative. Who knows, maybe in a few years one of the girls might be actually working in an Avanta office in their chosen career!”
