Bottled water has become known for having a somewhat shady reputation when it comes to caring for the environment. However, after switching to using Belu bottled water, the team at Avanta feel that they are making a positive move towards reducing their environmental impact.
Belu bottled water is produced using only recycled materials to create a product that is completely carbon neutral. Avanta has announced that from this month onwards it will be using Belu bottled water across its 18 serviced office business centres as part of the company’s continued efforts to reduce its carbon footprint. Belu water bottles will be given out to all meeting room clients from now on as complimentary extras.
David Kinnaird, director for group operations at Avanta, comments, “Bottled water has received some negative press recently for being expensive, environmentally unfriendly and generating unnecessary waste. Belu is the antithesis to this and we are delighted to be stocking its water across all of our serviced office locations from now on.
“Avanta have a firm commitment to our corporate social responsibility and so we’re very pleased to be supporting a fantastic product which is striving to make a global difference through its work with WaterAid”.
Belu is the official bottled water partner of Wateraid, a global charity that strives to improve access to safe water for those living across areas of poverty. Last summer, Belu announced that it would be donating a minimum of £300,000 to WaterAid projects over the next three years. Working across 27 countries in Africa, Asia, the Pacific region and central America, WaterAid continues to work towards developing practical solutions that will provide clean water, safe sanitation and hygiene education to the world’s poorest people.
