City Office Space lettings are looking up following last quarter’s terrible figures that saw the City perform at its worst for some 20 years!

Reports emerged in last week’s commercial and retail magazine Property Week that British Land is looking to let up to 60, 000 sq ft of office space at its imposing Broadgate Tower to pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca. The third tallest building in the City of London, as well as the invaluable recognition factor, Broadgate Tower provides a fantastic business address and continues to prove popular with companies wanting to be in the heart of the City’s financial district.

Furthermore, Hammerson is also reported to have signed 42, 000 sq ft at its 60 Threadneedle Street property to Talbot Underwriting Insurance with Toronto Dominion also in discussions regarding up to 31, 000 sq ft at the property.

Should the above deals go ahead it will mean a welcome boost for the start of the second quarter of up to, and over,100, 000 sq ft; significant figures for the wavering City.
