The 7500 sq ft extension at Orega’s Birmingham business centre has already attracted four new serviced office clients less than a month after completion!
Orega announced that it was to expand within the Birmingham centre, located at Colmore Plaza, a couple of months ago after agreeing a deal with building owner The Carlyle Group. The flexible office operator decided to extend its 10,000 sq ft offering after seeing outstanding success at the property and a continued demand for office space.
The four companies that have moved into the extended part of Colmore Plaza are all from professional services fields including two law firms DWF, which signed up for 15 workstations, and Simon Burn Solicitors which took a two-workstation office. Arista Insurance has taken 12 desks on a two-year office contract and international recruitment company PSD will also be taking 6 workstations next month on a one-year deal.
Orega’s sales and business centre manager in Birmingham, Caron Salter-Hill, commented that the client demand for office space in the new extension has “snowballed” since Orega signed up its first client ‘off-plan’. She added: “We are confident of filling much of the remaining second phase space in the next few months.”
A further client Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance (London Management) Ltd, has also moved into the original part of the centre after signing up for six workstations. With the latest deals, totalling 41 workstations, the Birmingham business centre is now two-thirds occupied.
