Regus, the world’s largest provider of workspace solutions, and James Cracknell’s Team HotChillee have established the first world record for a cycle relay team riding from Land’s End to John O’Groats. Double Olympic champion, Cracknell and a team of three elite riders rode the 842 miles in just 34 hours, 54minutes and 04 seconds (34:54:04).
Regus provided an on-the-road mobile office suite as HQ for the team providing a base for logistical back up and space for continuous collation of data, ensuring the team maintained their record breaking pace.
Andrew Birks UK Sales Director at Regus, said: “We were able to provide the team with a unique solution, offering them a flexible workspace that could travel with the cyclists during the record attempt. It makes me extremely proud to have helped in the creation of this new world record.”
Cracknell said: “It was an honour to be part of this fantastic team. The back-up facilities were crucial to the success of this extreme challenge. Everyone was pushing themselves so hard and at times it was extremely tough, but thanks to the Regus mobile office we were able to ensure we were always meeting our targets. It truly was an incredible experience!”
