Flexible office provider Orega has agreed a major deal with Deloitte at its new High Holborn business centre in London’s Midtown, taking the centre to over 80% occupancy within three months of opening.
Business consultancy firm Deloitte has taken two floors, totalling 9,000 sq ft, at 16 High Holborn. It will occupy 150 workstations, with the first fifty people moving in last month and the second tranche taking occupation in February.
The serviced office business centre is only five minutes’ walk from Deloitte’s cluster of office buildings between New Fetter Lane and Shoe Lane, so it provided the perfect location for project-based work. The consultancy firm has taken the space on an 18-month licence with break clauses at six and twelve months.
Zach Douglas, joint managing director of Orega, says of the deal: “We were able to deliver customised project space to Deloitte within a short period of time to their exacting requirements. The location of our business centre, just a short walk from Deloitte’s main offices, was an added bonus, as was the high-quality spec of our building.
“The deal was signed just two days before Christmas and was one of the biggest in the serviced office sector in 2010. For us, it ended the year on a high note and demonstrated that our strategy and timing in relation to our first central London business centre were spot-on. It also highlights the enduring appeal of well-located, flexible offices to the corporate sector. Many major firms have a property strategy in place that includes an increase in serviced offices as part of their rationalisation process.“

The glass-fronted building – Orega’s first in central London – houses eleven very diverse businesses across its five floors. The other recent addition is slimming company Lighter Life, which has consolidated its West End and City operations into a single office address.
