It’s blue Monday, officially the most miserable day of the year and for many the first day back in the office after the Christmas break.<\/p>\n

A recent poll by Evian discovered that a third of commuters described their journey to work as ‘boring’ and nearly a fifth said that going back to work after the Christmas break was just like ‘groundhog day’.<\/p>\n

Today has also been identified as the day most people will abandon their New Years resolution of having a healthier lifestyle in 2014 with nearly five times the average number of tweets relating to guilt as people give up their new ways.<\/p>\n

Most people start out with good intentions in the New Year and are quickly flawed if they trip up, the top New Year resolutions are:<\/p>\n

  1. Lose weight<\/li>\n
  2. Get organized<\/li>\n
  3. Spend less, save more<\/li>\n
  4. Enjoy life to the fullest<\/li>\n
  5. Stay fit and healthy<\/li>\n
  6. Learn something exciting<\/li>\n
  7. Quit smoking<\/li>\n
  8. Help others<\/li>\n
  9. Fall in love<\/li>\n
  10. More family time<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    These are all pretty life changing resolutions and it is little wonder people become disheartened quickly. Setting smaller goals to reach the overall target is usually much more attainable and gives a feeling of satisfaction.<\/p>\n

    As half of peoples days are usually spent in and around the office it’s important to utilise this time and space<\/a> to help towards achieving a resolution. Work together with colleagues who share similar goals for support and morale.<\/p>\n
