Leading flexible office space<\/a> operator Avanta has been short listed for the National Business Awards title of “Employer of the Year“.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It has been a year of praise for the expanding serviced and managed office space operator which, earlier this year, featured in the Sunday Times<\/a><\/em> “Best companies to Work For“ listings.\u00a0 <\/span>Similarly, the “Employer of the Year“ award looks for companies demonstrating a commitment to the highest levels of employee satisfaction, training and work ethics; something which Jill Jackson, Avanta’s director of client services and personnel development, certainly thinks that the company demonstrates in its day to day business activities.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ms. Jackson commented: “As a fairly young, but rapidly expanding serviced office company we have focused on the quality of our employee training, recognition, benefits and opportunities, which in turn has ensured that our team are productive, motivated and, above all else, enjoy working for Avanta. \u00a0<\/span>The ongoing success of our business is focused totally on the quality of customer care our business centres provide.“<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Last month the operator revealed the results of an independent survey which showed that the company had further improved its level of customer service.\u00a0 <\/span>Avanta commissioned Accelerator Solutions Ltd<\/a> to conduct the survey from October 2008 to March 2009 which found that an overwhelming majority of 94% of clients said that their expectations were either met, occasionally exceeded or frequently exceeded by Avanta.

<\/span><\/p>\n

Other companies also short listed for the “Employer of the Year” award include back-packers website Hostelbookers<\/a> and the Metropolitan Police<\/a>. Finalists will be required to make a presentation before a judging panel from 1st -12th June and winners will be announced during the awards ceremony held on 14th July at the Hilton Park Lane hotel.<\/span><\/p>\n

Philip Forrest, chairman of Judges, The National Business Awards commented: “The entry level for this year’s regional awards programme is very encouraging.\u00a0 <\/span>Entrants have shown both the resilience and optimism that are hallmarks of UK enterprise. Without exception, all had forecast a level of growth for the coming year which appears to indicate that even in the prevailing market conditions, well run, professionally operated organisations are able to develop and implement effective success strategies.“<\/span><\/p>\n
