York-based commercial property expert David Harrop has been appointed to the Board of one of the UK’s leading serviced office<\/a> providers, Forsyth Business Centres.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

David, Finance Director at Forsyth, has worked for the company for just over two years and has played a major part in Forsyth’s aggressive nationwide expansion.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

David said: “Receiving this recognition from the Board for the progress we have made as a team at Forsyth in driving the business forward means a great deal to me.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>The last two years with the company have flown by and I have learnt an enormous amount.\u00a0 <\/span>I am confident that our ability to adapt to the changing market place will allow Forsyth to emerge as one of the leading players in a consolidated serviced office market.“<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

David’s appointment comes as Forsyth announces its best ever financial results, with turnover up 25 per cent to ~6.3m for the year 2008\/09.\u00a0 <\/span>The company has grown from 12 to 23 centres in the last 12 months and now operates more than 200,000 sq ft of office space nationwide.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

David said: “The recession has emphasised the need for businesses to manage risk and maximise the flexibility of their cost base.\u00a0 <\/span>In property terms this will only accelerate the trend of companies moving from the expense and long term commitment required for conventionally leased space to the flexibility of serviced offices. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“At Forsyth we now have an expanding, truly national network of excellent serviced offices where clients will find the facilities they need on flexible terms; thus allowing them to concentrate on their business and leave the property side to us.“<\/span><\/p>\n
