\"\"Birmingham<\/a> based virtual and serviced office provider, The Corporate Pod today announces that they will be joining this great line up as main sponsor of this year’s Vitalise Women of the Year Awards Luncheon.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The event, hosted by TV presenter Arti Halai, is taking place on 2nd October 2009 at the Hilton Metropole in Birmingham.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Now in its 27th year, this is the most prestigious Midlands based women’s awards events on the annual calendar and is attended by around 800 entrepreneurial women from the region.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The luncheon is organised by Vitalise, a national charity that provides respite care for visually impaired, disabled people and carers.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Over the years this lunch has previously raised over ~470,000 and all proceeds are donated to Vitalise’s Midlands Centre.\u00a0 <\/span>The charity has a particular focus on holidays in the UK and worldwide. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This event looks to be just as successful as previous years despite the recession, with speeches from Preethi Nair, successful novelist, The Colour of Love being most recently adapted by BBC and\u00a0 <\/span>Hilary Devey, Chairman of Pall-Ex Group, last year’s winner and featured on Channel 4’s ‘The Secret Millionaire’.\u00a0 <\/span>Add to that a fantastic lunch, fashion show by Selfridges, great live music and an opportunity to shop or business network and you can’t go wrong! <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Anne concludes: “This year more than ever charities really are suffering when it comes to sponsorship because businesses are finding it increasingly difficult to justify what many see as unnecessary costs.\u00a0 <\/span>My view is that by supporting charities like Vitalise in these difficult times, not only is my business helping a very worthwhile cause but I am also promoting my brand in front of over 800 professional businesswomen and fully expect to see a return on investment. That has to make good business sense, financial benefit to Vitalise and a great day out – who needs more?!.“<\/span><\/p>\n
