Serviced Offices in Milton Keynes<\/a>:<\/span><\/strong> Serviced office operator i2 Office has made its debut in Milton Keynes with the opening of its first centre at Luminous House, with 27% of space already taken.\u00a0 <\/span>Luminous House, located within ~140m Vizion MK development in Milton Keynes, provides clients with the latest in IT and Telecoms support in a Grade A building.\u00a0 <\/span>A series of new centre openings are scheduled by i2 Office in prime locations across the UK over the coming months.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Milton Keynes serviced office centre has been created via a joint venture with leading property developers Abbeygate Helical (a joint venture between Abbeygate Developments Ltd and Helical Bar Plc).\u00a0 <\/span>i2, headed by CEO Philip Grace who founded United Business Centres in 1999 and then in 2008 grew the network from five to twenty three in six months, aims to maximise IT support and technology to offer cost-effective office space and clear pricing for clients.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

i2 CEO Philip Grace said: “It’s great to back in the serviced office market and at the helm of a new venture.\u00a0 <\/span>I am especially pleased to have the support of the Abbeygate Helical partnership which will undoubtedly contribute greatly to i2’s success here in Milton Keynes.“<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Mike Slade, Chief Executive of Helical Bar commented: “It’s great to have another venture in the serviced office sector with a veteran like Philip Grace.\u00a0 <\/span>This sector has grown substantially in recent years, offering minimal commitment and fixed costs at a time of great economic uncertainty.\u00a0 <\/span>I see it as a key element of the commercial property mix of the future, allowing smaller businesses to occupy Grade A space thanks to the shared overheads with the business centre set up.\u00a0 <\/span>Serviced offices are here to stay.“<\/span><\/p>\n

David Gwynne, Director for Abbeygate, added: “This is an exciting time for Abbeygate and Helical.\u00a0 <\/span>We were one of the first landlords to back Philip’s UBC venture 10 years ago and we are very happy to do so again with our first direct investment into the serviced office world.\u00a0 <\/span>There is little doubt that the serviced office model has become increasingly popular in recent years.\u00a0 <\/span>The business centre at Luminous House will create a seedbed of new and growing businesses that will look to more traditional leasing as their businesses expand. We can offer expanding businesses traditional leases on other units as they grow their requirements and rather uniquely for Milton Keynes we can also sell small units giving business investors a real asset to put into their balance sheets and that could be an advantage in the current economic climate.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

“The Luminous building is part of our much larger ‘C4.1 Vizion’ scheme where we have a range of units ranging from retail units near a new Sainsbury’s store to units which may be used as offices, showroom or clinics.\u00a0 <\/span>The units are proving to be popular even in these challenging times with several units taken or under offer already and I am sure the i2 Office scheme will continue to add to that interest. “<\/span><\/p>\n

Luminous House is part of Abbeygate Helical’s ~140m C4.1 Vizion MK development in Milton Keynes Opened by the Mayor last year – the scheme comprises a landmark design already adopted for the cover of Milton Keynes’ streetmap and which is shortlisted for a number of prestigious awards for its design and quality of construction.\u00a0 <\/span>A new 110,000 sqft Sainsbury’s store anchors the commercial side of the development, with over 440 high quality apartments featuring a massive landscaped rooftop garden integrated above and around the store. The commercial units and offices take up frontage space around the scheme and there are separate parking provisions for occupiers and customers providing just over 1,000 car parking spaces, around half of which are offered free up to 3hrs stay.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
