\"\"<\/a> Portal Business Centres<\/a> in Warrington are ensuring all tenants, new and existing, are aware of the extension in the Small Business Rates Relief (SBRR), a relief which is available for businesses based at a single location with offices that have a rateable value of less than ~18k per annum.<\/p>\n

Between 1st October 2010 and the 30th September 2011 all properties with a rateable value of up to ~6,000 will pay no rates, those between ~6001 and ~12, 000 will be entitled to relief on a sliding scale. The team at Portal have invested significantly in having each office within its 40 suite building, individually assessed for business rates. The review included consultation with existing clients to confirm their eligibility for reduced rates, as well as assisting with the completion of the relevant paperwork.<\/p>\n

Portal Business Centres is a local independent business centre, providing competitively priced serviced offices<\/a> available on short term licences. Any business considering a move into serviced offices, or seeking to review their present office, should ask about SBRR before taking out a licence.<\/p>\n

Sallie Maskrey, Managing Director of Portal Business Centres commented: “We want to support and help businesses wherever we can. The new rates relief will mean 90% of our offices will pay no rates from October 2010 to September 2011. I urge small businesses looking for office space to ensure that they benefit from the rates relief before they sign their licence, as it is not applicable in all serviced office buildings“.<\/p>\n
