By Road:
From Cork City Centre:

  • There are a number of alternative routes from the City Centre to Mahon.
  • If you are unfamiliar with Cork City it may be best to take the South City Link Road to the Kinsale Road Roundabout.
  • Take the slip road at the Kinsale Road Roundabout for Dublin, Limerick and the Jack Lynch Tunnel (heading east).
  • Continue forward and take the 4th exit sign posted Mahon/Blackrock.
  • Keep in the left hand lane and turn to your left at the top of the slip road and continue straight through traffic lights at Mahon Point and Retail Park.
  • City Gate is situated on the right hand side of the road after Mahon Point and Mahon Retail Park.
  • Take the right turn when you reach the CSPCA (on your left).
  • Then take the immediate right and you will have entered City Gate.

From the Dublin Road:

  • As you approach Cork, the first Roundabout you encounter is the Dunkettle Interchange.
  • Go through the roundabout taking the 2nd exit which, leads into the Jack Lynch Tunnel.
  • As you exit the tunnel you are on the South Ring Road.
  • Take the first exit off the road, the slip road for Blackrock, Mahon and Mahon Point staying in the outer lane.
  • Turn to your right at the top of the slip road and continue straight through the traffic lights by Mahon Point and Retail Park.
  • City Gate is situated on the right hand side of the road after Mahon Point and Mahon Retail Park.
  • Take the right turn when you reach the CSPCA (on your left).
  • Then take the immediate right and you will have entered City Gate.

By Air:

  • Leave the Airport Terminal. At first roundabout take the 2nd exit.
  • At the second roundabout take the 2nd exit.
  • At Airport Road Roundabout take the 1st exit onto Kinsale Road - N27.
  • Continue forward onto Kinsale Road - N27 Entering Cork.
  • At Kinsale Road Roundabout take the 3rd Exit, and then merge onto the South Ring Road - N25.
  • Continue forward and take the 4th exit sign posted Mahon/Blackrock.
  • Keep in the left hand lane and turn to your left at the top of the slip road and continue straight through traffic lights at Mahon Point and Retail Park.
  • City Gate is situated on the right hand side of the road after Mahon Point and Mahon Retail Park.
  • Take the right turn when you reach the CSPCA (on your left).
  • Then take the immediate right and you will have entered City Gate.

By Public Transport:

  • Cork Airport- City Centre: Route 226
  • Cork City Centre- City Gate (Mahon Point): Route 10 or 10A
