V Festival, the annual music festival sponsored by Virgin, brings approximately 160,000 music fans to Chelmsford every summer. Taking place in Hylands Park, some of the world’s biggest rock and pops acts have taken part in the festival, Beyonce, Kings of Leon, Eminem and Arctic Monkeys to name a few.


Chelmsford’s three theatres offer comedy, dance and drama offering entertainment for all ages. Leisure and sport facilities are widely available including an ice rink, cricket grounds, swimming pools and climbing walls.
