Maidstone is located in the heart of Kent, England. It has a small population of an estimated 110,000 people. Maidstone relies on its leisure industry as a key contributor to its economy, bringing in millions of pounds per year. Its town centre is the most popular in Kent, with plenty of night clubs and bars attracting large crowds. Maidstone town center is surrounded by beautiful countryside, with Kent Downs to the north and River Medway to the south.

 

Maidstone has many historic attractions including Hever Castle, Leeds Castle and Sissinghurst Castle. Maidstones most popular gardens are Iden Croft Herbs, Beech Court, Hole Park and Lullingstone Garden of the World. For adventurous visitors, Go Ape is run at Leeds Castle, Buckmore Park provides karting facilities and canoeing along the river is a popular activity.

 

Accessible via its fantastic links with all means of transport, travelling to Maidstone is easy. Its town centre has two railway stations Maidstone East and Maidstone West. Maidstone East runs London to Ashford services, and Maidstone West is for Gatwick to Stood.

 

Maidstone can be accessed via the M25 and M26/M20 Motorways, a 40 mile drive from London, 20 miles from Ashford and 36 miles from Folkestone. Gatwick Airport is 41 miles away and Heathrow Airport is a 66 mile journey.
