Tammy Gilbert tackles Parkinson’s with inspiring art exhibition.
Business Environment are sponsoring the debut exhibition by artist Tammy Gilbert in support of charity Parkinson’s UK. The exhibition launches with a private view at The Arts Depot in North Finchley on 1st July.
Gilbert, who suffers from Parkinson’s herself, draws her inspiration from everyday life to create beautiful watercolours that depict images as diverse as a ballerina from a stage show to a busy market scene. The pieces demonstrate Gilbert’s incredible talent and determination to continue to broaden her creative range despite living with Parkinson’s and the challenges the disease creates around things like drawing a straight line.
Commenting on her first solo exhibition, Tammy Gilbert says: “I am incredibly excited to be showcasing my work and hope that visitors will take as much pleasure in the paintings as I take in creating them. Parkinson’s UK is a charity very close to my heart and 20 per cent of all sales will be donated to the charity so it can continue to do its fantastic work in supporting people living with Parkinson’s. I am also grateful to my sponsor Business Environment, who has supported me in making my dream to exhibit a reality.”

Tammy Gilbert has been painting for over 12 years and is a student of The Hampstead Institute of Art. Her career has been varied starting out as a make-up artist working with members of the royal family and including time as a designer of her own fashion label.
