As part of Bizspace’s ongoing commitment to raise at least ÂŁ3,000 for the company’s chosen charity, The Stroke Association, managers will be taking part in an abseiling event next month to help boost funds.

The event will take place on 5th November at Dudley Castle. Participants, including four of Bizspace’s Midlands-based management team, will abseil down the 70ft Castle tower in aid of charity.

Bizspace’s centre manager from Wolverhampton, Kevin Rose, commented that the team had no hesitation in taking up the challenge which they are looking forward to! He said: “I’m hoping that in so doing we can help to substantially increase the funds being raised for The Stroke Association.”

Head of corporate partnerships for The Stroke Association, James Beeby, commented on how grateful the association is to be the chosen charity of Bizspace, adding: “There are over 20,000 cases of stroke or TIA (mini stroke) each year in the Midlands. These much needed funds will go towards prevention and also facilities that help those that survive strokes.”

The Stroke Association is currently working towards the opening of a new Life After Stroke Centre in Bromsgrove. Expected to open towards the end of the year the centre will be an important new venue for The Stroke Association, providing services for stroke survivors as well as their families and carers on both a local and regional scale.
