Fasset has been managing property assets for more than 10 years across sites in the UK. The 40-acre Langstone site is the company’s flagship property, from where it currently employees 100 staff. Over just a few years, Fasset has transformed Langstone Park from what was an under-performing asset into a thriving business community.
There are now around 3,500 employees at Langstone, boosting occupancy levels from 71% in 2009 to 100% in 2012. During their time in management Fasset’s team have attained 92% in overall customer satisfaction in 2011, 38% over the national average.
The celebrations were just in time for ‘World FM Day’, held on 28th June, to recognise the importance of facilities management. The day was promoted across six different continents through organised events such as luncheons, seminars and workshops.
Gary Medlow, Managing Director at Fasset Ltd commented: “We have achieved phenomenal success at Langstone through hard work, dedication and strong team. Facilities management is often overlooked yet we have proved it is a fundamental piece of the business jigsaw.
Our flagship site at Langstone is central to the economic survival of the local economy providing both income and revenue at all levels. I believe that by raising the service bar, we have managed to attract and keep businesses here.
Reaching 100% occupancy is fantastic but as ever there are always innovative and exciting new projects to make sure that we maintain success, rise to new challenges; and keep our facilities management fresh and exciting”.
Langstone Technology Park promotes a sense of business community amongst resident companies, strengthened by regular park events. One such recent event took place during national ‘Bike Week’ in June when park workers were encouraged to cycle to work.
Fasset held a host of events and offers to support the cycling initiative across the week, offering a free, healthy breakfast pot to any participants who cycled into work for three days! To help raise awareness of safety and crime prevention, Hampshire Police also attended the park during the week to provide a free security tagging service for any bikes brought in.
Bike Week also tied in with Fasset’s promotion of its â€ÂSummer of Sport’ initiative which has seen the installation of additional televisions within the restaurant area to allow park workers to watch Tennis and Olympic events, matches and games throughout the summer. Table tennis, lawn games and fixture listings have also been made available to tenants.
Customer Service Delivery Manager at Langstone, Martyn Randell, commented: “With so much sport happening this summer it seems only right that we make it as accessible as possible for everyone onsite to enjoy it. Whilst this inclement weather does not offer a promising start, I am confident that employees will make use of the facilities and enjoy being able to keep an eye on the scores without having to leave the office!”
