Managers at a Basingtoke Office Park have recently been witnessing a steady trend of business growth following the announcement of several major acquisitions.  Chineham Park in Basingtoke is one of Hampshire’s leading locations for business and, despite continued economic uncertainty across the UK, managers have reported a period of heightened business activity on the park after four major acquisitions were agreed over recent months.

Back in May, Quark, a global leader in the field of dynamic publishing, bought MobileIQ allowing the company to develop and expand into new markets. The team produced a new roadmap for publishers and have now branched out to work with financial services, manufacturing, and government.

The following month Domino Printing Sciences plc, an international coding and printing group, bought Postnet, acquiring leading technology from the postal sector and further strengthening Domino’s digital printing capability.

During July, money-handling machine specialist, Talaris who was headquartered on Chineham Park, was bought by Japanese firm Glory. The $1 billion deal will help Glory to establish its name as one of the world’s top brands for money-handling machines.

Finally, and most recently, a merger has been agreed between Tyco International Ltd and Pentair. The merger has created a new, global leader in water and fluid solutions, equipment protection and thermal management.

Managing director at MEPC Chineham Park, Rupert Batho commented: “These deals are not limited to one sector and include digital printing, mobile communications, software  development and engineering. As Hampshire’s premier business destination for smart companies, this level of merger and acquisitions activity clearly shows that we have the best environment for securing success. Our customers are succeeding on an international scale and, post purchase, are becoming major players across the globe in their specific industries. ”
