Flexible office operator Avanta has been playing host to influential business membership organisation London First at its serviced office business centre in Devonshire Square, EC2.

London First, of which Avanta is a member, aims to make London one of the best locations in the world in which to do business.

The main point of discussion during the group’s latest meeting was concerning crime prevention in London City. Led by the Police Commissioner for the City, Adrian Leppard, the meeting addressed how the London First security and resilience network are currently working to help combat crime in collaboration with the City of London police force.

Various speakers at the event, including Sir David Veness, chair of the London First security and resilience network, discussed how the force is currently tackling fraud, cybercrime and economic crime within the City.

London First’s chief executive, Baroness Jo Valentine, commented: “A safe and secure business environment is one of the key elements of maintaining London’s competitiveness and its position as a leading World City.  We are delighted that Avanta, whose facilities offer clients round the clock monitoring and secure data infrastructure with back up resilience, were able to host this briefing on such an important topic.“

The Avanta team were excited to host the breakfast briefing at which company CEO, Alan Pepper, was present to welcome in guests and provide a brief introduction to the Avanta offices. Mr. Pepper said: “Avanta has been a member of London First for five years now and we were delighted to be able to host the event.  We look forward to London First using our many meeting rooms and locations for various events in the future.“
