As Station buildings go, King’s Cross is one of the most iconic with Grade 1 listing and designed in 1852 by Harry Potter. Or Lewis Cubitt. One of the two. We’ve taken two floors of offices that form part of the main station building. Enter from the front of station on the corner of York Way and Euston Road, just to the right of the beautiful arches looming over the main entrance. The offices have been comprehensively refurbished revealing the original brickwork and steel and iron features of the building. If there’s one building that we have that speaks for itself, it’s The Shard. We looked at a range of floors that were available but figured if you’re going to be in The Shard, you want the views. So we went for the highest office floors we could take on levels 24 and 25 (the highest office floor is level 28). Stunning views across London in a building that is recognised globally (and by Charlie’s 6-year-old daughter). Architects Archer Humphryes (responsible for The Standard Hotel in New York and the Chiltern Firehouse in Marylebone) have been working with us to create space that highlights the extraordinary views wherever possible with a warm palette of materials and colour for a more intimate environment than you might otherwise expect in this building. This building has offices, co-working space, a lounge, event space and meeting rooms that provide an experience a little better than ‘another day in the office’.

We bought a site right at the gateway to the 67-acre King’s Cross Central development and have refurbished the existing Stanley building which is a small listed building (last example of one of the first examples of social housing in London) and then wrapped a new building around it to create a new 30,000 sq. ft. office building. Studio Downie Architects worked with Wells Mackereth to create space for a range of office sizes, meeting rooms, event spaces and co-working spaces.
