Avanta has laid out big plans to double the revenue that the serviced office operator is currently generating through its meeting rooms over a one year period.
The ambitious plans come after the operator has adopted a new central system for its meeting room database supported by custom-designed software from UltraSoft Technologies.
The new technology will assist the operator in a number of ways to create a more efficient booking and billing system for its meeting room hire. Now centralised, the system will help Avanta to avoid any duplicated reservations where rooms may have, in the past, been double-booking through reservations made at centre level. All business centres will now be able to use the new system to communicate, sharing booking information and streamlining their billing processes at the same time.
Group Operator Director at Avanta, David Kinnaird, said: Ă˘â‚¬Ĺ›Meeting rooms are an important part of the Avanta Managed Office portfolio, but previously they were mostly used by internal clients or businesses local to our centres. We want to target businesses that currently use hotels, conference facilities and other specialist venues and this new UltraSoft-based booking system provides us with the tools we need.Ă˘â‚¬ĹĄ
The user-friendly booking system will enable meeting room clients to access information about the facilities at Avanta centres as well as view availability. Clients will also be able to book meeting rooms online and pay in advance.

At the moment the central booking system is just being used for meeting rooms, but looking ahead it could be used for other products and services in the future.Ă˘â‚¬ĹĄ
Avanta is hoping that the new centralised system will help dramatically boost meeting room sales at its 18 business centres across the UK over the coming 12 months.
