Last Friday the staff at Business Environment wore their favourite Jeans to work in support of Jeans for Genes Day, the focus day of the charity which supports children affected by genetic disorders.
Business Environment has supported Jeans for Genes Day four years running now with teams from every one of the company’s 18 serviced office business centres taking part and raising money for the deserving charity. Business Environment’s Director of Business Centres, Nick Gandy, commented that the teams have as much fun as possible during the day and also raised money during their weekly Friday doughnut coffee breaks this year.
Every year 30,000 babies are born with genetic disorders in Britain with the resulting health problems acting as the biggest killer of children under the age of 14. The disorders arise when a gene or several genes are missing, repeated or in the wrong order which can affect a child’s senses, movement, ability to learn or appearance.
