Office Operators in Birmingham Support Local Businesswomen in Awards Ceremony

Leading Birmingham serviced office and virtual office provider, The Corporate Pod is demonstrating its passion for supporting local entrepreneurs by sponsoring this year’s Vitalise Women of the Year Awards Luncheon.


The Corporate Pod is a Grade II listed building overlooking the prestigious St Paul’s Square.  The company provides a variety of services for SME’s including serviced offices, virtual offices and meeting facilities with full business centre support. 


Anne Corstorphine, Managing Director of The Corporate Pod explains: “Our business focuses firmly on assisting growing companies in the region to build a strong image by benefiting from prestigious but affordable premises in central Birmingham.  We encourage our clients to share business between each other and support them with a variety of additional services such as business coaching, marketing and financial advice.  When Vitialise approached us to sponsor their prestigious Women of the Year Awards Luncheon, it was an opportunity we simply had to take.”


The event which will be hosted by TV presenter Arti Halai, takes place on 2nd October 2009 at the Hilton Metropole in Birmingham and is one the most prestigious Midlands based women’s awards events on the annual calendar.  Around 800 entrepreneurial women from the region are expected to attend this year.


The luncheon is organised by Vitalise, a national charity that provides respite care for visually impaired and disabled people and their carers.  Vitalise has a particular focus on organising mainstream holidays for disabled people ranging from the UK to Japan and beyond.  Over the years this lunch has raised over ÂŁ470,000 and all proceeds are donated to Vitalise’s Midlands Centre. 


Anne continues: “The Corporate Pod actively supports local businesses and we are passionate about supporting businesswomen in the region.  The Vitalise Women of the Year Awards Luncheon raises significant funds for the charity but it also celebrates the achievements of local businesswomen.  By sponsoring this event we are able to contribute to the fantastic work that Vitalise carries out and at the same time join with 800 ambitious Midlands businesswoman to celebrate their many business successes and incredible stories from the past twelve months.”
