Bad news for London Office commuters as Transport for London scraps several schemes in a bid to save £2.4bn over 10 years. Projects including the Thames Gateway Bridge, DLR extension to Dagenham Dock and a number of Street Trams proposals have been rejected as part of the money saving initiative. Hundreds of redundancies are also expected to be made across the London Transport workforce. On a positive note, however, the government plans to invest money saved back into London’s tube system improvements.
