The 125 Old Broad Street office block in EC2 caused havoc in central London last week after one of its glass windows came lose and fell 17 storeys to the street below! The accident led to the closure of one of the City’s busiest roads, Leadenhall Street. The reason behind why the 15 ft glass pane fell from the building is currently being investigated. The glass barely missed office workers and a group of people waiting at the bus stop below but no serious injuries were reported. The office block, former home of the London Stock Exchange, has recently undergone a total refurbishment, the work from which was only finished four months ago.
