New Brighton Serviced Offices to Answer High Demand for Space

Regus, the world’s leading provider of innovative workplace solutions, has reacted to strong demand for quality office space in Brighton by opening its first serviced office business centre in the city.

With every kind of company from the city’s creative industries to the digital media sector vying for space, lack of quality workspace is a serious issue in Brighton. In its 2008 -16 economic strategy, the Brighton and Hove Economic Partnership estimated that less than 10% of office stock in the city is grade A.

Lack of supply has already led to an upsurge in enquiries about Regus products and services. The new centre’s 60 offices and four meeting rooms, in the heart of Brighton, five minutes’ walk from the railway station, will help to plug the gap and give local businesses the quality office space they crave.

The investment coincides with business confidence in Sussex stabilising after an earlier setback this year. Figures from the Sussex Enterprise quarterly economic survey for the second quarter of 2010 show 51% of Sussex firms believe turnover will improve over the next 12 months.

Wendy Bell, Sussex Enterprise’s Membership and Events Manager, said: “No one offers the quality workspace that Regus does and the centre arrives at a really good time for Brighton. Sussex is coming out of the recession and businesses will be looking at new markets to expand in. With its national network of business centres, Regus can help support those plans.“

Businesses using the Regus Brighton centre will have high-speed internet access and a business lounge for guests or mobile workers.

“Workspace-starved businesses in Brighton will not only gain attractive office accommodation, but will also be able to use our products in flexible ways to give themselves a competitive edge and boost productivity,“Ă‚ĹĄ said Celia Donne, Regional Director at Regus.

Brighton’s vibrant environment, its beaches and entertainment, make it an attractive city for talented staff seeking a better work-life balance. Many people who once commuted to London have opened their own businesses in Brighton, making it one of the UK’s most entrepreneurial cities.
