Gatwick Serviced Offices Nearly Full 12 Months After Launch

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Orega’s Beehive serviced office business centre near Gatwick airport in West Sussex is now 91% full just over a year after opening, with many occupiers drawn to its excellent location and sympathetic blend of original art deco features and cutting-edge technology.

As befits a building that was the original Gatwick passenger terminal in the 1930s, several of The Beehive’s occupants either work within the aviation sector or rely upon it for business. Among these is Meridian Aviation, an international chartered aircraft service that is the second largest occupier in the building with 49 workstations.

Since January this year, when both Meridian and APV/SPX (The Beehive’s biggest occupier) signed for space, a further nine companies have struck deals at the business centre. These are: Safety Check Engineering; telecoms company Evaden; JAGS Chauffeur Drive; catering services company Beyond Boyle; Dash Commercial Finance; lighting supplier NeonLite; ABS Network Solutions and, most recently, lighting design company Studio Fractal, which will be expanding into The Beehive’s original conference room in September, and US company Crystal Cruises. US industrial conglomerate SPX, which took 79 workstations in January, has also since expanded with an extra 12 workstations.

The business centre’s versatility was further demonstrated recently when ABS Network Solutions, part of outsourcing company Capita, urgently needed temporary space after the roof collapsed on its Crawley office building. Within a week of signing the licence for 30 workstations at The Beehive, ABS employees had taken occupation. Orega has also been able to provide Meridian with additional state-of-the-art telephony solutions to meet their changing business needs, with features that include sophisticated real-time call analytics.

Linda Burton, regional sales manager for The Beehive, says: “Since opening in April last year, we have enjoyed a steady stream of enquiries from companies keen to be part of our unique workplace. With Gatwick Airport only minutes away, The Beehive appeals to both national and international businesses, and has an important role to play within the aviation community.”
