The 38,000 sq ft commercial development is for express parcel delivery business DPD which is relocating from Thorncliffe Distribution Park. The expanding business will be taking on new staff and the bespoke property will offer a larger building to help support ongoing company growth.
This is the second bespoke facility to be built at Smithy Wood Business Park after Cutting and Wear moved into a brand new designed advanced manufacturing facility at the park back in 2011.
The site, marketed by commercial agents Knight Frank on behalf of St Paul’s Developments, is proving popular with local companies due to its quality setting and prime transport links.
Construction of the properties is a positive sign that bespoke commercial development is returning to Sheffield’s business parks.
