Serviced Office operator Avanta has reported a massive surge in meeting room enquiries in recent months. During 2011 Avanta’s meeting room revenue rose 20% from the previous year and, with current trends, the operator expects to see this figure rise even further in 2012.
A tough economy is thought to be to thank for the continuing rise in meeting room demand as businesses try to keep their square footage down to reduce costs. Many companies are choosing to find alternative locations to hold internal and client meetings rather than paying monthly for meeting room space that is only used every so often.
Sales and Marketing Director for Avant, Geraint Evans, commented: “Businesses are increasingly finding that it is no longer cost-effective to maintain their own – often largely unused – meeting rooms and are instead migrating to the high quality meeting room facilities that are available on-demand across all of our business centres.”
Avanta offers 90 meeting rooms in locations across the country. They are all non-branded and help to project a professional image. These on demand meeting rooms offer a viable alternative for businesses that are looking to keep office space overheads to a minimum.
As part of Avanta’s ongoing commitment to Children’s Charity Sparks, the operator is also now donating £1 to the Charity for every meeting room booked for 10 delegates or more. Avanta hopes that the new campaign will raise more than £6,500 for Sparks during 2012.
