Reinforcing her key position in the commercial property industry, Bizspaces property director, Lisa-Jane Risk has been appointed 2011 chairman of the South East branch of the Association of Women in Property (WiP).

“Women constitute 40% of the Board at Bizspace, which has always recognised its people on merit,“ Lisa comments. “This meritocracy means we are able to combine a broad spectrum of knowledge, skills and experience which brings clear benefits to our flexible workspace business. Our forward thinking progressive approach means that we have fantastic staff loyalty as well as being an attraction to our customers to do business with us.“

While the Government is seeking to ensure greater representation of women in the board room, the WiP argues that whats needed is the best person for the job, irrespective of gender. And on that basis, theres no reason why the next board director shouldnt be a woman.

“As a provider of flexible workspace solutions, Bizspace is predominately a people business,“ comments Gareth Evans, Bizspaces managing director. “Therefore weve focused on building a team of the very best and highly motivated individuals in the industry, regardless of gender and, as a result our relationships with customers has set a new benchmark in the industry.

“Lisa fulfils a key role in the refurbishment and management of our 110 nationwide locations and being appointed 2011 chairman of the South East branch of the WiP is a clear acknowledgment of the high regard in which she is held.“
