Business Environment (BE), one of the UK’s leading serviced office providers is partnering with cloud computing company, VESK to help SMEs cut their IT and business costs.

Following the partnership, VESK’s virtual desktop offering will be available to all businesses who are based or use BE’s office centres throughout London and the South East. Using the VESK virtual desktop, BE’s clients have access to a wide ranging, highly sophisticated IT infrastructure immediately – eliminating their need to invest in costly hardware and software. VESK’s offering is the first virtual office solution with back up and disaster recovery options built in. It is fully supported through BE’s business centre IT teams and charged monthly.

The virtual desktop itself looks and feels exactly like a normal desktop, but all its functionality such as Microsoft applications, Blackberry access, servers, offsite back-up, disaster recovery, security and remote access are powered by VESK’s cloud computing solution. Taking advantage of high speed Internet access and Wifi, the VESK solution is fast, easy to use and can be accessed from anywhere.

Graham Hefferman, IT & Communications Director at BE believes that many businesses have already grasped the benefits of virtual office solutions. “It’s clear that cloud computing is here, with around 10% of all desktops expected to be virtual by the end of this year*“ commented Graham. “We’re delighted that our partnership with VESK because we can now provide our office, shared office and mobile clients the flexible, cost effective solution that meets the dynamic nature of their businesses.

James Mackie, Technical Director of VESK explains “We predict around half of all business desktops to be virtualised within the next 5 years.” He continued “It’s great to see Business Environment offering a product that meets their client’s business requirements. I can also see Business Environment making a substantial saving on their electricity consumption each year as well as reducing their own and their client’s carbon footprint”.

Marketing Director, Steve Moore sees the partnership with VESK providing Business Environment with the opportunity to attract new customers with a product that goes where they go. He added: “Not only will VESK benefit our clients now, but we can also see the longer-term opportunities, such as building strategic alliances with hotel, coffee shop and motorway services providers to give our clients a virtual desktop wherever and whenever they need it“.
