i2 Office, the hi tech serviced office provider, has announced a significant expansion programme for 2011 having raised new investment into the business in 2010.
i2 Office CEO and founder Philip Grace has attracted new equity capital from a group of corporate and private investors thereby creating a solid platform on which to expand in the coming year. New investors include leading support services provider OCS and the City based financial services company, the Hampden Group.
Philip Grace commented: “Attracting major investment at a time of economic austerity bears testament to the strength of our product as well as showing confidence in our plans for the future. We are delighted to welcome on board OCS and the other investors and look forward to opening new centres in several prime locations across the UK in 2011.“
The relationship between i2 Office and OCS began in 2009 when OCS won the contract to supply a comprehensive range of FM services to i2 Office’s headquarters and flagship site in Milton Keynes. The fit and fabric is managed directly by i2 Office and operational and FM services are provided by OCS. These services include customer services, reception, vending, waste management, confidential waste destruction, daily and specialist cleaning, washroom and feminine hygiene and document management.
Martin Gammon, Managing Director of OCS Group UK Ltd, welcomed the development of the relationship with i2 Office saying, “Total FM should be more than just outsourcing: it should be a partnership between client and FM provider. True added value only really begins to show when this is achieved.“
The announcement follows successful openings at i2Office’s Milton Keynes headquarters, where the firm’s Luminous House Business Centre is operating at almost full capacity and its first London centre at Devonshire Street in Marylebone, which achieved a phenomenal 90% occupancy within just 90 days of opening in the summer.
i2 Office has now opened its first Scottish centre at 2 West Regent Street in Glasgow and is now progressing on a number of other Grade A buildings in city centre locations across the UK.
