Reading Time: 3 minutes

Following our earlier article “Serviced Offices in Birmingham:  Flexible Lease Office Space in the City Centre“ this week’s guest blogger from the Easy Offices sales team, Nikesh Patel, has provided a break down of Serviced Office Business Centre locations as found on the outskirts of the city of Birmingham.  Below Nik gives us a break down of what each Birmingham centre has to offer companies considering a move to the outskirts of the city.

Birmingham Outskirts, Solihull and NEC

If you would like your office to be on the fringe of the city, Edgbaston would be the ideal location.  Here you will find a number of providers that will offer serviced offices at a very reasonable price.  One of them would be Edgbaston Business Centre.  This company owns 4 four properties in the area, Highfield Road, Highfield Road Crest House, Hagley RoadHagley Road 2.  They offer totally flexible office space, from one or two people, right through to suites of offices for larger organisations.  You also have ECC and Somerville House that located just off the Hagley Road.  All of these offices are in close proximity to the local train station, Five Ways.

If you drive 3 miles west of Edgbaston you will find a provider called Flexibase. The TriGate Business Centre has 12,000 square feet of serviced office space available, as well as offering conventional leases. Just minutes from the M5 motorway and around five minutes drive from the city centre.

Heading in completely the opposite direction, if you drive for 5 miles east of Edgbaston, along the Coventry Road you will come across Birmingham’s Equipoint building that is owned by Highcross.  Part of the 116,000 sq ft development has been allocated for serviced office accommodation, to provide a professional, high quality environment for growing businesses.

Continue heading south along the A4040 for 4 miles and you will end up in Hall Green.  Here you will find Smart Space Business Centre situated within Centre Court, a prominent 1930’s Art Deco building.  Smart Space occupies over 11,000 sq ft of superior office space of this recently refurbished building.  Located in a beautiful and leafy area of Birmingham, it is easily accessed from junction 4 of the M42.  It is also within easy walking distance from Hall Green Railway Station that provides cross-city rail links.

Keep driving southwards along the A34, through Shirley, you will eventually come to Blythe Valley Business Park.  Situated next to the M42 motorway, it has easy access to Birmingham NEC and International Airport.  Set in 250 acres of mature parkland, Regus have a 2 acre plot here.  They offer 30,000 sq ft of top quality serviced offices.  You will find other big names within this prestigious Business Park such as British Gas, Vodafone, Oracle and Virgin.  Blythe Valley is such a popular location as it is adjacent to the M42 and is a short drive to Birmingham International Airport and train station.

If you want to be near Birmingham International Airport you have a choice of 3 providers.  The first you will encounter if you were travelling north on the M42 would be United Business Centres.  They are based at Concorde House and are actually the closest to Birmingham International train station.  Then you would come to ECC.  This provider actually has 2 buildings here, Wellington and Vienna House.  And finally you will find Regus at the Waterside Centre.  All 3 of these providers offer high quality serviced offices.
